British Properties

Development of the exclusive enclave known as British Properties began in 1931, backed by money from the Guinness family. British Pacific Properties Limited built the landmark Lions Gate bridge that connects West Vancouver with Vancouver, and this was instrumental in the development of Park Royal as a shopping mecca for residents of the British Properties and the North Shore.

Perched on the steep slopes of Cypress Mountain, British Properties homes enjoy spectacular views of Burrard Inlet. Home prices range from $900,000 (for building lots) to $15 million.

British Properties Sports and Recreation

British Properties may be high above the harbour, but local residents need moorage, too. West Vancouver Yacht Club in Eagle Harbour is the local marina. Those seeking terrestrial pursuits, particularly golf, can turn to Capilano Golf & Country Club and for many other great recreational amenities, Hollyburn Country Club.

British Properties Transportation

West Vancouver’s “Blue Bus” system has a designated route serving British Properties, which is also linked to the rest of the region via the Upper Levels Highway and Marine Drive.
